In 2025 America still divided on living out and proud. So imagine what it was like back in 1920s Hollywood with stricter moral codes? There was a pioneer swept under the rug: actor William "Billy" Haines.
Billy was the original trailblazer for LGBTQIA+ visibility in film. He carved a unique space where he could express his life, passions, and sexuality—at dangerous and personal risks. Billy never apologized for his life.
His story is ready for the big screen.
"Full of personality & cinematic style... dialogue is quick-witted and entertaining, scenes of Billy and Joan & romance between Billy and Jimmy excellent emotional core.... In summary, a lively and stylish script with humour, historical detail, and an authentic emotional heart."
